Great location with beautiful surroundings and easy access to hiking trails. The staff were friendly and accommodating, moving us to a quieter room upon request. Sitting areas on the porch were a nice addition, allowing us to enjoy the mountain views. The lodge had a recreation room with games and arcade games which made for a fun evening.
The rooms were small and some had a dated smell. The walls were thin, resulting in noise from neighboring rooms.

The staff at this state park lodge were incredibly helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to assist us when we had car trouble. The lodge and rooms were very clean and well-maintained. It was evident that cleanliness is a priority at this hotel. The location of the state park is beautiful, with access to outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking. The natural surroundings added to the overall experience.
The rooms could be a bit noisy at times, as we could hear other guests in the hallways. Pet lovers should note that pets are not allowed in the lodge.

We had a lovely romantic escape in the beautiful surroundings. The pictures online don't do justice to the breathtaking scenery. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of no TV or WiFi, just a cozy bed. The lodge had a vintage feel and was well-maintained. The staff was responsive and quickly provided a hairdryer when requested. The lounge area was our favorite spot, with a fireplace, games, puzzles, and free coffee all day.
On the downside, we were the cleanliness of the room. The accommodations were not up to our expectations, and there was confusion with the booking.

The lodge is nestled in beautiful hilly surroundings, offering a stunning view of tree-covered ridges. The restaurant serves delicious food, with options like wings, crab cakes, and a hearty traditional turkey dinner. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with comfortable mattresses. Guests can enjoy the large lounge area with a TV, computer, and cozy seating. Additionally, the park offers various activities like hiking, swimming in the lake, and renting cabins.
Some of the waitstaff and front desk staff were not as friendly and attentive as they should have been.

My husband and I recently stayed at Cacapon State Park Lodge for a weekend getaway. The lodge was cozy and the staff was amazing. Although our room was small, it was clean and comfortable. The views from the lodge were absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds and taking in the natural beauty of the area. The complimentary soaps and shampoos were a nice touch and we appreciated the organic and locally produced products. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and scenic retreat.
